Thirty years later, we return to the events of January 13th, 1991, in Vilnius Lithuania. A fledgeling democracy is challenged by Soviet military force. Many civilians are injured and fourteen are killed.
In the virtual exhibition, “Democracy – One Defining Moment”, we explore these tragic events and show how the Lithuanian Canadian community heard the calls for help and responded using all of the tools of a democratic society available to them.
