On December 7th, 2016 Marko Raat gave a lecture on the topic of “From the Supermarket Conveyor Belt to a Hole Made by a Stone Axe. The Estonian National Museum’s 100 Film Screens.” Marko has visited VEMU many times and has given a number of lectures or presented films. Before the completion of the Estonian National Museum, Marko shared his work on the audio-visual material for the permanent exhibition “Encounters” last season. This time, Marko screened the final versions of short film clips describing different aspects of everyday life in Estonia. He also gave an overview of the museum’s opening, which took place in Tartu, Estonia on October 1st, 2016.
