On Sunday, June 11th VEMU, Metsaülikool (Forest University), and EstDocs participated in the 21st Annex Family Festival in Toronto.
The Festival that took place along Bloor St. between Bathurst and Spadina, is organized by the Miles Nadal Jewish Community Centre and the Bloor Annex Business Improvement Area. The event featured a diverse cultural program that is suitable for the whole family, while also providing opportunities to shop and have a bite to eat.
VEMU, MÜ, and EstDocs had an information table that introduced Estonia, Canadian-Estonians, and their various ventures to Torontonians. During the Festival from 10am to 6pm, Tartu College was open to those who wished to view the “Metsaülikool 50” exhibit. In addition, short films including a chronicle of how Tartu College was built, Kaja and Tiit Telmet’s wedding at MÜ in 1974, and short documentaries from the EstDocs film competition were screened.
